My Ultimate Travel Guide To A Runcation In Busselton!

I’d heard a lot about Perth and it’s stunning coastline, white sandy beaches and clear blue waters and when I was offered the opportunity to travel to Busselton, Western Australia for a runcation with the Wings For Life World Run team, I jumped at the offer. Well who wouldn’t? With a love of fitness and travelling its kinda hard not to say no right?

It’s not often a trip to Perth WA is planned with my friends, probably due to the fact its so far away, well just over the other side of Australia actually. But hey, never say never because I can honestly say that that now I’ve been to Perth, its probably one of the most scenic and beautiful parts of Australia that I’ve visited to date and I can’t wait to get back over there. Think golden sunsets over the Indian Ocean, a laid back lifestyle, delicious food, friendly locals, picture perfect beaches and amazing running tracks. And I thought Sydney had beautiful beaches! Well think again!

STAY

MARGARET RIVER | Leeuwin Estate – Famous for their award winning Chardonnay’s and most recently for hosting the Diana Krall concerts, Leeuwin Estate is a very stunning and picturesque winery that offers a delicious lunch menu coupled with the very finest of Australian wines.
PERTH | Varnish Bar and Restaurant – Pumping with music, this restaurant has a menu that you’ll enjoy on your cheat day. Think delicious, home style meals!

MARGARET RIVER | Lake Cave Experience – If you’ve never ventured beneath the earth into a crystalised cave, then this is a must for you. You’ll be lost for words!

PERTH AIRPORT | Thrifty Car Hire – You’ll definitely need a car to travel around in, so your best bet is to hire one.
