Did you join us at first ever Nike N+TC Syd Tour event at Carriageworks – the same cool space that hosted the style set for fashion week last month – in Sydney last Saturday?
If so, you’ll know exactly why it lived up to all the hype: a whole afternoon of awesome workouts; disco lights and loud music; pop up stands packed with healthy treats; beauty bars to be pampered at between sessions. Oh, and 2000 other awesome, like-minded women to share the fun with.
While these ticketed training club events have already rolled out around the world in places like New York and Stockholm, this was the first for Australia.
Marie Purvis showed us just why she’s Nike master trainer – she had the whole room enthralled from the stage as she led the warm up at 2pm. No one can move and motivate a massive crowd like she does!
Everyone then branched into groups for more workouts led by equally awesome Nike trainers, choosing three 30-minute sessions of either Spin, Pilates, Circuit, Boxing or H.I.T over the course of the event, which finished at 9pm. Superstar DJ Havana Brown led a finale dance from the decks.
Rest assured though, it wasn’t just one big long sweaty training party. In between sessions we perked up our energy levels with snacks from various food vans, sampled The Health Lab protein balls and hydrated at OVI and Pressed Juices pop up stands.
Anyone wanting a few beauty touch ups, had a braiding, makeup and nail bar at their disposal. There were plenty of rest spots, comfy bean bags, massage areas and – the most popular – a polaroid selfie station to break up the workouts too.
All in all, the kick-off Nike N+TC tour Sydney was a brilliant way to spend a Saturday. We can’t wait to add next year’s event to our outlook calendars! Watch this space for an announcement of the date…
